Fasting Mimicking was Developed in 2015 by Physician Experts in Longevity & Prevention

Diets don’t work. They have a history of low adherence rates and statistics show that most people gain the weight back in less than 1 year. Not to mention that weight loss is the extent of their benefits, and weight loss is only one small area of health.

On the other hand prolonged fasting addresses many areas of your health on the cellular level. As I already mentioned, fasting is the most beneficial practice for health improvement, BUT it’s not very doable.

These opposing issues gave rise to fasting mimicking.

If you've only recently heard of fasting mimicking, that’s because it’s new. It was created by Dr. Valter Longo in 2015.

Dr. Longo is the Director of the University of Southern California Longevity Institute, and professor of gerontology (the study of aging) and biological sciences - considered by many a pioneer in the fields of longevity and fasting.

Dr. Longo posed the question, “is there a way to mimic the effects of prolonged fasting without actually fasting”? Great question.

That question led to the following hypothesis: can participating in a periodic fasting diet for just 5 days per month (fasting mimicking), with no lifestyle changes in between, reproduce the same metabolic and cellular changes that occur under prolonged fasting conditions.

Longo and his group of scientists tested this hypothesis in yeast, then mice, and then humans.

The results in all three cases confirmed that yes, a periodic fasting diet (fasting mimicking) is profoundly effective at inducing the metabolic and cellular improvements of fasting with minimal side effects.

LifeBox’s Nutritional Criteria Is Derived from Medical Research

LifeBox is scientifically formulated using the nutritional criteria & dietary framework from the original fasting mimicking study.

You calorie restrict for 5 consecutive days each month for 6 months. That’s 5 days on, followed by 25 days of your normal diet.
